Day 174
Went fishing yesterday. Didn't even get a bite. I did lose my jighead and bobber when I cast into some cattails. I wasn't trying for the cattails. I was trying for the spot next to them.
I have read that some anglers are having some luck in the canals. Perch and bluegill and occasionally a walleye on leeches.
I haven't tried Houghton yet. Tomorrow the pontoon boat goes into the water so it won't be long now.
The water temp at Backus Lake was 60 degrees in the afternoon.
That's all I know for now.
