Day 172
Tonight is the first round of the NFL draft of new players. This used to be two days, Saturday and Sunday. Now it's four days during prime time starting on Thursday thru Sunday. Few of these players will make much of an impact this fall when the new season starts.
Some of the drafted players won't even make the cut during the exhibition season. It's a big adjustment to make from college to the pro's where everyone is exceptional.
What's really sad is someone like Johnny Manziel. A young man with talent for the game of football, who can't mature enough to realize he was given millions of dollars to play a game. Instead he has to have good time with alcohol and probably drugs. Soon he'll just be another footnote of a man child who wouldn't grow up.
