The latest ice report I have heard has the ice at 9-12 inches but remember it's a big lake and some areas are going to be thin. So as always, whenever your on the ice, be careful.
Several shanty towns can be seen around the lake. The largest concentration near Lyman's bait shop.
You can rent a shanty at Lyman's and Korbinski's off the south shore. Papa's Bait Shop has some for rent off the east shore. There are others around the lake with bait and shanty rentals.
