Laughter
by
Kenneth A. Stephenson
I don't laugh anymore.
I smile. I chuckle.
But I don't really laugh.
I want to laugh again.
I want the gut busting, side splitting,
Loud, continuous laughter.
I want to beg you to stop
So I can catch my breath.
I want to laugh so hard,
All my worries are forgotten.
